《走向黎明》读后感——给大伯的一封信

看完您的小说《走向黎明》，我心里特别沉重，也深受感动。
After reading your novel Towards the Dawn, my heart is filled with deep sorrow and immense emotion.
这部您六十多年前用心血写成的作品，早已不只是一本普通小说，它是咱们家族的记忆，是那一代中国人的血泪史，更是一份沉甸甸、最珍贵的家书与史书。
Written by you with your heart and soul more than sixty years ago, this work is far more than an ordinary novel. It is the memory of our family, a history of blood and tears of that generation of Chinese people, and a weighty, most precious family letter and historical record.
1943年河南大旱，百姓流离失所、饿殍遍野，那段苦难是我们这辈人很难真正体会的。奶奶和老人们生前讲过的往事，被您一字一句认真写下来，让那段历史没有被时间冲淡，让苦难有了温度，让后人永远铭记。
The severe drought in Henan in 1943 displaced countless people and left starvation widespread. Such suffering is hard for our generation to truly comprehend. The stories Grandma and the elders told during their lifetimes have been carefully recorded by you word by word, preventing that period of history from fading with time, giving warmth to the suffering, and ensuring future generations will always remember.
也正是读懂了那段黑暗，我才真正明白，老一辈人刻在骨子里的坚持：
It is only by understanding that darkness that I truly grasp the perseverance rooted in the bones of the older generation:
为什么惜粮如命，因为他们真的挨过饿；
They cherish food as if it were life, because they truly experienced hunger;
为什么看重亲情，因为乱世之中，家人就是唯一的依靠；
They value family affection above all, because in troubled times, family was their only support;
为什么珍惜安稳日子，因为他们尝尽了颠沛流离；
They cherish peaceful days, because they have tasted the bitterness of displacement;
为什么对党心怀感恩、无比忠诚，因为是党带他们走出苦难，走向黎明。
They are grateful and deeply loyal to the Party, because it was the Party that led them out of suffering and towards the dawn.
《走向黎明》这个名字，真好！
The title Towards the Dawn is truly perfect!
老一辈从无边黑暗里走来，把光明和安稳留给了我们。他们吃过的苦没有白费，他们坚守的善良、珍惜的幸福，都在我们这一辈身上延续。
The older generation walked through boundless darkness and left light and stability to us. Their sufferings were not in vain; the kindness they upheld and the happiness they cherished live on in our generation.
大爷，您能在晚年让这部作品问世，是对历史的交代，也是对祖辈最好的告慰。
Uncle, publishing this work in your later years is an account to history and the greatest comfort to our ancestors.
这段记忆，有文字留存，有人用心记得，就永远不会消失。
As long as this memory is preserved in writing and cherished in people’s hearts, it will never fade away.
